Anyone who knows Dave can tell you he lives for service. He is likely the only person on earth who prays for hurricanes just so he can go help with the cleanup. Even in his most recent battle with cancer, Dave always looked for opportunities to serve those around him, including complete strangers. He has worked hard to build his life not only on the principle of service, but also of love, gratitude, and a healthy sense of humor.

Inspired by the encouragement and examples of his parents, Dave learned early on that he could do anything he set his mind to. His unique vision challenges provided plenty of opportunities to find creative workarounds, whether it was alternative modes of transportation or memorizing the cash register keys at McDonald’s. He gained skills of creativity, persistence, and positivity, which he carried with him into adulthood.

Dave developed a strong foundation and a “simple but unshakeable testimony” while serving a Church mission in Pittsburg Pennsylvania. This foundation led him to serve in various Church callings, meet and marry his sweetheart, Danean, in the temple, and raise four wonderful children in the gospel.

Dave’s entrepreneurial spirit landed him in the “baby business” where he eventu ally found his second family at Regal Lager. He has loved his time with the company as it has allowed him to use his physical strength in helping with trade shows, his sales skills in promoting baby products, and his people skills in his daily interactions with coworkers and customers.

Although his eyes don’t allow him to see every color, Dave’s life is full of every color imaginable. Building solid relationships, finding the humor, selflessly serving others, facing challenges with faith, and observing miracles are just a few of the colors that have contributed to his life’s mural.
